About Gina

A Parent on the Board, Not a Politician

Hi, I'm Gina Chi — a little about me. I'm a proud mom of two, with kids in 3rd and 7th grade right here in San Gabriel Unified. I immigrated from Taiwan, and this is the community where I've built my home and raised my family ever since. I'm fluent in both English and Mandarin, which helps me connect with more families across our community.

Four years ago, I joined the School Board because I wanted to be a strong voice for our students, schools, and community. Today, I'm asking for your vote so I can keep doing exactly that — advocating for the kids, schools, and families who make San Gabriel Unified such a special place.

Between work, board meetings, and everything else, you'll usually find me spending time with my family or cheering from the sidelines at my kids' sports games — moments that remind me exactly why I care so much about getting this right, for every family in our district.
